RSS Feeds in Google -keep up with what’s up
May 4th, 2009
This particular guide isn’t exactly centered on online teaching and learning, but it does show virtual educators a way to keep up with what’s on the cutting edge of a field that’s on the cutting edge… RSS feeds. Using Google to keep up with geeky news is a great way to keep up, and I hope you enjoy the tutorial below on how to go about getting it done! Remember to enlarge the tutorial to full screen so you’re sure to see how everything works.

I’ve had a couple folks ask me ‘why not just use the little orange button at the top of my Internet Explorer to keep up with blogs?’ Good question. The reason Google is better is that you can check your feeds from any computer -not just the one that you happen to be using at that moment. Another nice feature of using google is that when I’m wasting time somewhere and I have my blackberry with me, I can catch up on the latest cool stuff by logging into my google reader account. Nice!
